Life is hectic

I haven’t had a chance to do any blog posting for such a long time, communion & wedding season was crazy, I had so many cards to make, along with the usual birthday cards so just didn’t have any time. Today I’ve decided to take 5 minutes for myself, so I’m sitting here with a homemade cappuccino, relaxing and taking stock before I hit the road running (figuratively speaking) I’ve 3 birthday cards to make today, 2 brother and 1 uncle.

Hoping to get the time to post my makes a little later in the day, until next time take care and happy crafting. Donna xx

St Patrick’s Day

One of the best things about being Irish is celebrating St Patrick’s Day so I just had to make these cute little shot glasses

I’m not a big drinker, I would have a few on the odd occasion, births, deaths, marriages, Christmas being the only time really that I would have a tipple but after the past 2 years of St Patrick’s Day being cancelled due to covid, I think I might just class this as one of those times that calls for a nice cool bottle of wkd blue 😂😂

Each little glass has the greeting ‘Happy St Patrick’s Day’ on the front and a cute little shamrock on the back.

I made a set of 6 using permanent vinyl and the Cricut joy

I also made a St Patrick’s Day cold cup

Christmas baubles

Bought some lovely little Christmas baubles and wanted to decorate them to give as gifts, I made this one for my best buddy Brendan for his birthday in memory of his ‘brother’ Barry

The vinyl was cut with the cricut maker 3 with the design being found in design space

I think it turned out lovely and the bow helps ‘make it’

What do you think? Brendan loved it and will display it on his tree Christmas 2022

Christmas comes early

My husband surprised me with this little beauty on Saturday, an early Christmas present, wow, I think I’ll keep him, the boy done good lol

He bought me the cricut explore air 2 about 5 years ago and to be honest it say in its box for about 6 months before I even looked at it, I felt very intimidated by the air 2 and it ended up in the attic for another 18 months before I got the courage to properly open it up, connect to design space and actually make something with it, it sat as an expensive ornament in my craft room with me periodically having a little play with it.

Recently my niece (who has the maker) sat down with me and showed me how to use it properly, since then I’ve grew in confidence and use my air 2 at least once a week now, making things for the family, I had mentioned the new maker 3 to Tony but honestly didn’t think anything of our conversation until Saturday when the delivery guy said, “Christmas has come early”. I opened the box straight away and got the maker 3 connected to design space and made my very first iron on item.

Even tho there’s a few mistakes, I’m very pleased with it, not bad for a first attempt

So, what to make now, decision’s, decision’s, the possibilities are endless, the only thing holding me back is my own imagination, so I’m away to play lol

Isn’t she just beautiful, I need a name for her now, any suggestions??

Hallowe’en

I love Halloween, it’s my favourite time of the year, so I’ve been looking forward to the new suites, stamp and die bundles and stamp sets in the mini catalogue, there is also some absolutely gorgeous dsp.

My first card is from the ‘Cutest Cats’ stamp set and is cased of YouTube by Kitchen Table Stamper

My next card is also from YouTube, this one is inspired by ‘Chicnscratch’ in her video, she makes a box but I thought it would look really nice as a card

I’m currently working on card number 3 using the new products, I’ll post photos when I’m done.

If you’d like to recreate any of these cards, please email me at celticcreations.ireland@yahoo.com and I’ll be happy to send you a free catalogue, I look forward to hearing from you.

Pet sympathy card

It’s heartbreaking when you lose a pet, who was a much loved member of the family, unfortunately it’s one of the drawbacks of being a pet parent, I’m a pet mum and was devastated when I lost my beautiful girl Frankie at Christmas, 2016.

Friends and family sent me some beautiful sympathy cards so when the pampered pet suite was launched it was the first item on my wish list, I’ve used this set a lot over the past year and was so pleased it didn’t retire at the end of the Stampin Up year and carried over to the new annual catalogue which went live on 4th May.

This lovely little pet sympathy card was cased of YouTube by ‘Too Cool Stamping with Angie Leach’.

I made a mistake with two of my cards but it worked out ok in the end, the little paw prints are at the right hand side with the layering mat having a subtle embossed image, I made the mistake of putting my double sided adhesive on the wrong side of two mats, so the paw prints are on the left and the mat had a debossed image

Paw prints on left side with a debossed image to the mat

So I ended up with two of each cards, two with the paw prints to the right and an embossed mat and two cards with the paw prints on the left with a debossed mat, it’s not to noticeable mistake and worked out ok as it looks fine, which do you prefer? Right or left? Embossed or debossed? Let me know in the comments

The pampered pets bundle is available in the new annual catalogue, if you’d like a copy drop me an email and I’ll get one posted of to you asap, I’d love to be your demonstrator if you don’t already have one, or why not join my team, Stampin Up have a great joining offer for the month of May, pay just £99 for your starter kit and receive £154 worth of products

Art Gallery

How beautiful are these cards inspired by Debbie Reed on YouTube, I made one a happy birthday card and the other a congratulations card, which can be used for a multiple of occasions, i.e wedding, engagement, new job, graduation etc

I absolutely adore the art gallery suite which also has a coordinating embossing folder and stunning designer series paper, think I might just have another wee play with this bundle, I really do love it

This stamp and die set are available in the new spring summer catalogue which goes live for customers tomorrow (4th May)

If you don’t already have a demonstrator and would like a copy, please email and I’ll pop one into the post asap, hope to hear from you soon

Good morning crafters

Id quite a productive morning today.

First of all, I upgraded my plan and registered my domain name, something I’d never done before, mainly because I’m totally computer illiterate, but I thought I’d take the plunge and just go for it, if I make mistakes, so what, life’s a learning curve, I’ll take the time to get to know my website, learn how to add widgets (???) etc, learn on the go so to speak lol

I’m so excited to start this new phase of my crafting life and hope to share more projects, experiences, and general everyday stuff with you, I hope you can join me

Sorry I’ve been gone

Wow, it seems like forever since I posted a blog, I have still been cardmaking but just didn’t take photos and log it here, we’ve been in lockdown since Boxing Day and to tell the truth I’ve had a touch of cabin fever, thankfully restrictions will soon start to ease and that might give me the motivation needed to start sharing my crafts again, I’ll post a few pics of some cards I’ve made

I hope to see you all again soon, until then, take care and happy crafting

Little egg holders inspired by the very talented Sally Stampers
A new home card for a friend, inspired by The Paper Haven on YouTube
An Easter card I made for my niece (but forgot to give lol) this was inspired by Rachael Coon, also on YouTube

Peace & Joy

This was my first time using this stamp and die set, I cased a video of YouTube by Julie Kettlewell (the paper haven) and have to say I’m very pleased with how they’ve turned out

I used thick whisper white card stock for the card base, granny apple green card stock for the mat and pool party & whisper white for the die cuts

Inks used were, granny apple green, pool party, poppy parade and bumblebee

If you would like to make these for yourself and don’t have a demonstrator please get in touch and I’ll send you a catalogue
